Within the framework of the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization approach, we compute the polarization of prompt J/psi produced at the Brookhaven's Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider from proton-proton collisions at the center-of-momentum energy sqrt{s}=200 GeV.
