We have measured the polarizations of $\jpsi$ and $\psiprime$ mesons as functions of their transverse momentum $\pt$ when they are produced promptly in the rapidity range $|y|<0.6$ with $\pt \geq 5 \pgev$.

The CDF coordinate system has z ^ \hat{z} along the proton direction, x ^ \hat{x} horizontal pointing outward from the Tevatron ring, and y ^ \hat{y} vertical. θ \theta ( ϕ \phi ) is the polar (azimuthal) angle measured with respect to z ^ \hat{z} , and η \eta is the pseudorapidity defined as − ln ( tan ( θ / 2 ) ) -{\rm ln}\;({\rm tan}\;(\theta/2)) . The transverse momentum of a particle is denoted as p T = p sin θ \mbox{$p_{T}$}=p\;{\rm sin}\;\theta
