The cosmological principle is one of the fundamental assumptions of the standard model of Cosmology (SCM), and it allow us to describe cosmic distances and clocks by using the Friedmann-Lema$\rm{\hat{{\i}}}$tre-Roberton-Walker (FLRW) metric.
