Although it is not critical for the analysis presented here, it is worth noting that the definition of T P T_{P} in this manuscript, chosen for clarity and convenience, varies slightly from that in previous references Ristè et al. 2013 ; Serniak et al. 2018 . This stems from the fact that the rate of charge-parity switches depends on the plasmon state of the OCS transmon. Here, we report a timescale that is dominated by the rate of transitions between | 0 , o ⟩ |0,o\delimiter 86414091 and | 0 , e ⟩ |0,e\delimiter 86414091 (equivalent to Γ 00 e o \Gamma_{00}^{eo} in the aforementioned references), whereas those references quote a 1 / T P 1/T_{P} that is effectively the average of this and the rate between | 1 , o ⟩ |1,o\delimiter 86414091 and | 1 , e ⟩ |1,e\delimiter 86414091
