In models with colored particle $\mathcal{Q}$ that can decay into a dark matter candidate $X$, the relevant collider process $pp\to \mathcal{Q}\bar{\mathcal{Q}}\rightarrow X\bar{X}+$jets gives rise to events with significant transverse momentum imbalance.
