We report on a measurement of the cross section for direct-photon production in association with a heavy quark using the full data set of $\sqrt{s}=1.96$ TeV proton-antiproton collisions corresponding to 9.1 fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity collected by the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron.

A cylindrical coordinate system, ( r , ϕ , z ) (r,\phi,z) is used with origin at the geometric center of the detector; r r is the radius from the nominal beam line, ϕ \phi is the azimuthal angle, and + z +z points along the direction of the proton beam. The polar angle θ \theta with respect to the proton beam defines the pseudorapidity η \eta , which is given by η = − ln [ tan ( θ / 2 ) ] \eta=-\ln[\tan(\theta/2)] . Transverse energy and transverse momentum are defined as E T = E sin ( θ ) E_{T}=E\sin(\theta) and p T = p sin ( θ ) p_{T}=p\sin(\theta) , respectively
