We report a study of the invariant mass distribution of jet pairs produced in association with a W boson using data collected with the CDF detector which correspond to an integrated luminosity of 4.3 fb^-1.

We use a cylindrical coordinate system with its origin in the center of the detector, where θ \theta and ϕ \phi are the polar and azimuthal angles, respectively, and pseudo-rapidity is η = − ln \eta=-\rm ln tan ( θ / 2 ) \rm tan(\theta/2) . The transverse energy E T E_{T} (momentum p T p_{T} ) is defined as E sin θ E\sin\theta ( p sin θ p\sin\theta ). The missing E T E_{T} ( E → T \raisebox{1.29167pt}{$\not\!$}{\vec{E}}_{T}

Lepton isolation ( I s o Iso ) is defined as ∑ E T E T \frac{\sum E_{T}}{E_{T}} , ∑ E T p T \frac{\sum E_{T}}{p_{T}} for electrons and muons respectively, where ∑ E T \sum E_{T} is the calorimetric energy in a cone 0.4 around the lepton

The reported KS probability corresponds to the KS test between data and background distributions. It does not account for the fact that the background distributions are constrained by fits to data. The reported values are thus an upper limit on KS probability
