We report on a search for the flavor-changing neutral-current decay D0 \to {\mu}+ {\mu}- in pp collisions at \surd s = 1.96 TeV using 360 pb-1 of integrated luminosity collected by the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider.

The transverse displacement of the decay is defined as L x y = r → ⋅ p → T / p T L_{xy}=\vec{r}\cdot\vec{p}_{T}/p_{T} , where r → \vec{r} is a vector from the beamline to the decay point, and p → T \vec{p}_{T} is the transverse component of the momentum sum
