We rederive in a simplified version the Lehmann-Sommers eigenvalue distribution for the Gaussian ensemble of asymmetric real matrices, invariant under real orthogonal transformations, as a basis for a detailed derivation of a Pfaffian generating functional for $n$-point densities.
