Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB) gravity is an outcome of quadratic curvature corrections to the Einstein-Hilbert gravity action in the form of a Gauss-Bonnet (GB) term in $ D > 4$ dimensions and EGB gravity is topologically invariant in $4D$.
