  • This model supports elaborate patterns, including excited states bearing vorticity.
  • The discovered coherent structures exhibit striking topological features, involving combinations of vortex rings and multiple, possibly bent vortex lines.
  • Although unstable, many of them persist for long times in dynamical simulations.
