We compare ultraviolet (UV) and optical colors of a sample of 29 type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) observed with the Swift satellite's UltraViolet Optical Telescope (UVOT) with theoretical models of an asymmetric explosion viewed from different angles from Kasen & Plewa.
