BTZ dilatonic black holes coupled to Maxwell and Born-Infeld electrodynamics

Motivated by string theory corrections of dilatonic gravity and Born-Infeld nonlinear electromagnetic field, we consider the BTZ black holes with these two generalizations.

• It will be shown that the generalization to dilatonic gravity introduces novel properties into thermodynamics of the black holes which were absent in the purely gravity case.
• Furthermore, the possibility of tuning out part of the dilatonic effects is explored in the Born-Infeld generalization.
