We construct the minimal dark matter models in the left-right symmetric extensions of the standard model (SM), where the gauge symmetry SU(3)$_C\times$SU(2)$_L\times$SU(2)$_R\times$U(1)$_{B-L}$ is broken into its subgroup SU(3)$_C\times$U(1)$_{\rm em}$ by nonzero VEVs of a SU(2)$_R$ doublet $H_R$ and a SU(2)$_L\times$ SU(2)$_R$ bidoublet $H$.
