We consider the electron-positron annihilation process into hadrons $R_{e^+e^-}$ up to $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_{s}^{3})$ and we adopt the smearing method suggest by Poggio, Quinn and Weinberg to confront the experimental data with theory.
