It is possible to dualize theories based on deformed dispersion relations and Einstein gravity so as to map them into theories with trivial dispersion relations and rainbow gravity.

• This often leads to "dual inflation" without the usual breaking of the strong energy condition.
• We identify the dispersion relations in the original frame which map into "intermediate" inflationary models.
• These turn out to be particularly simple: power-laws modulated by powers of a logarithm.
