High-statistics data on the reactions $\gamma\gamma\to K^+K^-$ and $\gamma\gamma\to K^0\bar K^0$ are the last missing link in investigations of the light scalar mesons $f_0(980)$ and $a_0(980)$ in photon-photon collisions.
