In this work, we recalculate the charmless pure annihilation decays $B_s\to \pi^+ \pi^-$ and $B^0 \to K^+ K^-$ by using the perturbative QCD (pQCD) factorization approach, and compare the pQCD predictions with currently available experimental measurements.
