In N = 2 Poincare supersymmetry in four space-time dimensions, there exist off-shell supermultiplets with intrinsic central charge, including the important examples of the Fayet-Sohnius hypermultiplet, the linear and the nonlinear vector-tensor (VT) multiplets.
