We analyze the generation of primordial magnetic fields during de Sitter inflation in a Lorentz-violating theory of Electrodynamics containing a Chern-Simons term which couples the photon to an external four-vector.

Galactic dynamo is a still-debated amplification mechanism operating within galaxies which, in principle, could allow extremely week seed fields to reproduce the properties of presently-observed galactic fields. Due to the very high temperature and very low density of the collapsing cloud, the protogalactic gas is fully ionized. The mass density ρ pg \rho_{\rm pg} refers to this component of the protogalaxy and does not take into account the “dark matter” component which constitutes about the 90 % 90\% of the protogalactic mass. In this paper, we assume that the total mass of a typical protogalaxy is 10 11 10^{11} solar masses

It is worth noting that, after a galaxy forms owing to protogalaxy collapse, the typical velocity of turbulent plasma is no longer given by the virial thermal speed but is determined primarily by astrophysical mechanism such as supernovae explosions and differential rotation of the galactic disk
