In a perturbative QCD approach, with inclusion of spin and transverse momentum effects, experimental data on azimuthal asymmetries observed in polarized semi-inclusive deeply inelastic scattering and e+ e- annihilations can be used to determine the Sivers, transversity and Collins soft functions.
